US – IRAN ULTIMATUM

The United States and Iran have issued simultaneous ultimatums to each other within hours and the world is now on a 48-hour clock.

Trump via the White House: If Iran does not fully open the Strait of Hormuz without threat within 48 hours, the United States will strike and obliterate Iranian power plants starting with the largest one first.

Iran’s IRGC response: “We warn for the last time: at the slightest attack on our infrastructure, we will destroy all energy, information technology, and water desalination infrastructure belonging to the United States and the Zionist regime in the region.”

Both sides have now drawn explicit red lines in public, in writing, with specific targets named.

What this means: This is no longer posturing. Both governments have told the world exactly what they will hit and under what conditions. Power plants. Desalination infrastructure. Energy grids. The civilian infrastructure that keeps millions of people alive on both sides is now explicitly on the table.

What this means globally: Water desalination infrastructure in the Gulf provides drinking water to tens of millions of people. Destroying it is not a military strike. It is a humanitarian catastrophe. Both sides have just said they are willing to go there.

Trump said the war was winding down yesterday. This is not what winding down looks like.
